Singtel's Pastel sold 0.8% of Bharti Airtel for ₹10,300 crore at a discount, part of ongoing portfolio adjustments.
Singapore Telecommunications' subsidiary Pastel sold a 0.8% stake in Bharti Airtel through a block deal worth about ₹10,300 crore, with 5.1 crore shares priced at ₹2,030 each—3.1% below the previous close—on November 7, 2025.
The sale, managed by JPMorgan, is part of Singtel’s ongoing portfolio optimization, following prior divestments totaling $5.5 billion since 2022.
Despite the 3.6% drop in Airtel’s share price, the company reported strong Q2 FY26 results, including an 89% year-on-year profit surge, 25.7% revenue growth, and ₹14,600 crore in free cash flow.
Analysts expect continued growth, projecting ₹1 lakh crore in free cash flow between FY26 and FY27, driven by premiumization, potential tariff hikes, and lower capex.
Brokerages maintain a Buy rating, citing long-term strength in India and Africa.
