Renault launches electric Twingo with 163-mile range, under $23,000, for early 2026.
Renault has revived its iconic Twingo as an all-electric city car, launching a retro-styled model priced under €20,000 ($23,000) with a 163-mile WLTP range.
The Twingo E-Tech, developed in 100 weeks, features a 27.5kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery, 50kW DC fast charging, and a playful design with modern practicality, including sliding rear seats, 360 liters of boot space, and a 10-inch touchscreen with Google-based software.
Built in Slovenia and sharing a platform with the Renault 5, it aims to compete with affordable Chinese EVs.
The car will go on sale in early 2026, with Nissan and Dacia also offering similar models.
