Maharashtra investigates ₹300 crore land deal linked to deputy CM’s son, citing undervaluation and procedural lapses.
A high-level probe has been launched in Maharashtra into a controversial ₹300 crore land deal in Pune involving Amadea Enterprises LLP, a company linked to Parth Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
The transaction, which allegedly involved government-owned Mahar Vatan land near Koregaon Park, raised concerns over massive undervaluation, a waived ₹21 crore stamp duty, and bypassed registration procedures.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered the suspension of a sub-registrar and tehsildar and appointed a committee led by Additional Chief Secretary Vikas Kharge to investigate potential irregularities.
Ajit Pawar stated he was unaware of the deal and denied any wrongdoing, emphasizing transparency and accountability.
The probe, expected to conclude in days, will examine documents, approvals, and compliance with land use and registration rules.
