The LEPAS L8 safety system, unveiled at Chery’s 2025 summit, meets 2026 Euro NCAP five-star standards with advanced protection, rescue features, and robust materials.

The LEPAS L8, designed to meet the 2026 Euro NCAP five-star safety standard, features a four-stage safety system focusing on risk prediction, collision protection, rescue, and closed-loop feedback. Its reinforced structure uses 75% high-strength steel and aluminum, including 1500 MPa ultra-high-strength steel in 28 key components, forming a "mobile safety capsule." Enhanced with a three-path front impact design, 10 airbags, and rescue-assist features, it resists underbody damage at 30–70 km/h, handles deep water with a 600 mm wading depth, and has been tested in rollover scenarios. Demonstrated at the 2025 Chery International User Summit, the system integrates active safety and parking aids, backed by Chery Group’s global safety framework, aiming to deliver comprehensive protection across all driving conditions.
