LA28 Olympics volunteer program opens for ages 18+ with community and event roles starting in 2026.
The LA28 Olympic organizing committee has launched its volunteer program, opening registration for residents aged 18 and older to help prepare for the 2028 Games.
Opportunities include community service starting this fall, such as supporting food banks and youth programs, with on-site roles during the summer 2028 Olympics and Paralympics to be announced in 2026.
The Games will run from July 14 to July 30 for the Olympics and August 15 to August 27 for the Paralympics, featuring 351 medal events, new sports like flag football and lacrosse, and a unique schedule with track and field in the first week and swimming in the second.
The opening ceremony will be held at both the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and SoFi Stadium, with the Paralympic closing at the Coliseum.
Volunteers will play key roles in community engagement and event operations, with the program aiming to build civic pride and create lasting benefits.
