IKEA has launched 21 new Matter-compatible smart home devices, including smart bulbs, sensors, remotes, and plugs, designed to work across Apple, Google, Amazon, and Samsung ecosystems without a hub. The products, starting at $4, feature improved designs and functionality like color spectrum enhancements, scroll wheels, and CO2 tracking. All support Thread networking and direct pairing via TouchLink. US availability begins January 2026 for remotes and sensors, with bulbs launching in April, while Europe sees initial rollout now. The Dirigera hub now acts as a Thread border router.
