British grandmother Lindsay Sandiford, 69, has been repatriated to the UK after 12 years on death row in Indonesia, where she was convicted in 2013 for smuggling 4.8 kilograms of cocaine.
She was released under a bilateral agreement between the UK and Indonesia on humanitarian grounds due to her age and health, alongside another British national, Shahab Shahabadi.
Both were transferred from Kerobokan Prison and flown to London on a UK-funded flight, arriving after a 20-hour journey.
Indonesia, which has not carried out executions since 2016, has increasingly repatriated foreign inmates under similar circumstances.
Sandiford, who claimed she was coerced, will be subject to UK legal procedures upon arrival.
