Defensive lineman Levi Drake Rodriguez of the Minnesota Vikings was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 9 after blocking a 45-yard field goal attempt by Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates in the fourth quarter of a 27-24 victory.

His performance, including a sack on his first defensive snap, highlights a breakout season.
