Two illegal immigrants charged in South Carolina shooting that killed 17-year-old Juan Pablo Cuartas-Paez.

Two men, Adicson A. Gutierrez Martinez, 19, and Yeremy D. Lopez Lopez, 21, who are alleged to be in the U.S. illegally, have been charged with additional crimes in connection with a deadly October 13 shooting in Upstate South Carolina. The incident on Creektop Court left 17-year-old Juan Pablo Cuartas-Paez dead and another person injured. Both men now face charges including possession of a firearm by an unlawful alien, first-degree burglary, and, in Martinez’s case, attempted murder, following initial charges of murder and conspiracy. Two juvenile suspects were charged with conspiracy and accessory. The investigation remains ongoing.
