Mark Telford steps down as managing director of Forth, naming Graham Cartwright as successor.
Mark Telford, co-founder and managing director of Cumbrian engineering firm Forth, announced his surprise resignation during the company’s 25th anniversary celebration, naming projects director Graham Cartwright as his successor.
Telford, who co-founded Forth in 2000, will remain as chief executive officer, offering strategic guidance.
Cartwright, who joined as an apprentice in 2004 and led major projects including a £250,000 precision engineering facility, has effectively managed the role for years.
The event, held at Hunday Manor with over 150 guests, included entertainment, fundraising, and a £25,000 pledge to charity Goodlives.
Forth, now operating from three UK sites and preparing to open a fourth in Malta, serves clients in nuclear, defence, oil and gas, subsea, utilities, agriculture, and renewables.
Cartwright expressed deep personal commitment to the company’s legacy.
