Mark Telford steps down as managing director of Forth, naming Graham Cartwright as successor, as the firm expands to Malta.
Mark Telford, co-founder and managing director of Cumbrian engineering firm Forth, announced his surprise resignation during the company’s 25th anniversary celebration, naming projects director Graham Cartwright as his successor.
Telford, who helped grow the firm from a home-based operation to a multi-site business serving industries including nuclear, defence, and renewables, will remain as chief executive officer.
Cartwright, who joined as an apprentice in 2004 and has led key projects, will take over as managing director.
The event at Hunday Manor included entertainment, fundraising, and a £25,000 pledge to charity Goodlives, with Forth preparing to open a fourth site in Malta.
