A 58-year-old man from La Loche, Saskatchewan, died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run on October 31, 2025. Police confirmed the suspect vehicle fled the scene, and after an investigation, a teenage boy from the community was arrested and charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident causing death. The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The victim’s family has been informed, and he is scheduled to appear in La Loche Provincial Court on December 29.
