Jack Tame has been named weekend presenter of 1News at Six, taking over from Melissa Stokes, who has been promoted to weekday anchor. Tame, a TVNZ veteran since 2006, previously served as US correspondent, co-hosted Breakfast, and has hosted Q+A since 2019. His appointment comes as longtime anchor Simon Dallow prepares to step down. The change was confirmed by TVNZ on November 6, 2025.
