India is repatriating hundreds of its nationals who fled a Myanmar cybercrime hub, KK Park near Myawaddy, with the first group of about 270 arriving in India from Thailand’s Mae Sot Airport on November 6, 2025.
The facility was raided by Myanmar’s military in mid-October as part of a broader crackdown on cross-border cybercrime and illegal gambling.
Over 1,500 people from 28 countries fled the site, with many seeking refuge in Thailand.
The repatriation follows a similar operation in March 2025 and highlights ongoing concerns about large-scale online scams, human trafficking, and instability in the region despite intensified enforcement efforts.
