HD Renewable Energy expands solar and storage projects in Australia and Japan, targeting 2.7GW and 3.4GW capacity by 2028.
HD Renewable Energy, a Taiwan-based firm, is expanding its global renewable energy footprint with major solar and battery storage projects in Australia and Japan.
It has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the 111 MW / 330 MWh Templers Battery Project in South Australia, set to begin operations by late 2025, aiming for 2.7GW of solar and storage capacity in Australia by 2028.
In Japan, the company is targeting 3.4GW of grid-scale storage by 2028, including the 50 MW Helios Project in Hokkaido, which connected to the grid in July and will start operations in November.
