Google cleared U.S. antitrust review for $32B Wiz acquisition, pending international approvals.
Google has cleared the U.S. Justice Department’s antitrust review for its $32 billion acquisition of cybersecurity firm Wiz, a major milestone in the deal’s path to completion.
The transaction, which would be Alphabet’s largest ever, aims to strengthen Google Cloud’s security offerings by integrating Wiz’s multicloud threat detection platform.
While the DOJ’s approval removes a key regulatory hurdle, the deal remains pending final closing conditions and reviews in other countries, with a 2026 closing expected.
Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport confirmed the clearance at a Wall Street Journal event, noting the deal is still subject to international approvals.
