A former Ryanair pilot, Brendan O’Mara, 62, pleaded not guilty in Ennis District Court to a new drug charge involving cannabis with a value of €13,000 or more, linked to a suspected €10 million seizure.
The charge stems from a May 7 incident at his home in County Clare and carries a mandatory minimum 10-year sentence.
O’Mara, already facing two prior charges from the same case, was released on bail in July after a Court of Appeal ruling, subject to strict conditions including surrender of his passport and pilot’s license.
The case was adjourned for two weeks to serve the Book of Evidence, with O’Mara to remain on bail until November 19.
