Ford replaces Bi-Turbo diesel with new single-turbo engine in 2026 Ranger and Everest for Australia.

Ford is discontinuing the Bi-Turbo 2.0-litre diesel engine for the 2026 Ranger and Everest in Australia, replacing it with a revised single-turbo 2.0-litre diesel featuring a new fuel-injection system, timing chain, and 10-speed automatic transmission. The updated engine will debut in the Everest for the first time. While power outputs and AdBlue requirements remain unconfirmed, the change aligns with Australia’s upcoming Euro 6d emissions standards starting December 2025 and the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard of 180g/km CO2 by 2026. The 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 and plug-in hybrid options will continue. First deliveries are expected in early 2026.
