On November 6, 2025, Amazon faced a widespread service disruption affecting its U.S. checkout system, with over 6,000 users reporting issues at peak time, according to Downdetector.
The outage, which occurred during the critical holiday shopping season, prevented users from completing purchases, sparking frustration and social media reactions.
Some users also reported problems with Amazon Web Services (AWS), though AWS confirmed services are now operating normally.
