The Telangana Forest Department is recruiting volunteers aged 18 to 60 for the All India Tiger Estimation 2026, a national survey running January 17–23, 2026. Participants will assist in assessing tiger habitats across 3,000 forest beats in 26,000 sq. km, recording tiger signs and environmental data using the M-STrIPES app. Volunteers must walk 10–15 km daily, stay in remote camps, and commit to the full week. No payment is provided, but basic food, accommodation, and transport are offered. Training will cover field methods and safety. Applications close November 22, 2025, via online portal or helpline.
