Haryana's CM called the cow vital to India's economy and deferred electricity bills for flood-affected farmers.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini declared the cow the "foundation of the Indian economy" at the National Godhan Summit in New Delhi on November 5, 2025, highlighting its cultural, historical, and economic significance.
The summit, ongoing through November 10, brought together officials, experts, and gaushala leaders to discuss sustainable cattle management and cow-based industries.
In a separate move, Saini announced a six-month deferment of electricity bills for 7.10 lakh farmers affected by 2025 monsoon floods, with payments for July–December bills delayed until January–June 2026.
