Former Guns N' Roses manager sues band to publish memoir, claiming confidentiality agreement is invalid.
Former Guns N' Roses manager Alan Niven has sued the band, seeking a court order to publish his memoir "Sound N' Fury", which he says was blocked by the group. Niven claims a 1991 confidentiality agreement is unenforceable because Axl Rose did not sign it, and that other members’ public discussions of past events undermine the agreement’s scope. He argues the band’s May 2025 demand to halt publication caused delays and interference, and is seeking damages and a declaration allowing the book’s release. The band, currently touring Latin America, has not commented.
