The Eagles activated edge rusher Nolan Smith from a practice window ahead of their game against the Packers.
The Philadelphia Eagles have opened a 21-day practice window for edge rusher Nolan Smith, who is recovering from a triceps injury sustained in February.
Smith, a 2023 first-round pick, is expected to return for Monday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, potentially bolstering a pass rush that has recorded just 4.5 sacks this season.
His return comes after the team acquired Jaelan Phillips from the Miami Dolphins in a trade for a 2026 third-round pick.
The Eagles also released wide receiver Terrace Marshall and linebacker Patrick Johnson to make room for Phillips and bring back Danny Gray to the practice squad.
Smith is unlikely to play immediately, but his return adds depth to a defensive line that includes Jalyx Hunt, Brandon Graham, and Josh Uche.
