ChrysCapital closes $2.2B fund, India's largest ever, to invest in tech, healthcare, and finance firms.
ChrysCapital, an Indian private equity firm, has closed its $2.2 billion Fund X, the largest ever raised by an India-focused fund, marking a milestone in its 26-year history. The fund, backed by investors from India, Japan, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the U.S., marks the first time Indian limited partners have participated. It will invest in 15–16 companies across enterprise tech, healthcare, financial services, and new economy sectors, with buyouts making up over half the portfolio. The firm plans to exit through IPOs, driven by rising domestic investor participation, now supplying 70% of IPO capital.
