China reaffirmed Taiwan’s status as part of China on Nov. 5, 2025, stressing the one-China principle and inviting cross-Strait unity.
On November 5, 2025, China's State Council Taiwan Affairs Office reaffirmed Taiwan's status as an inseparable part of China, highlighting national commemorations of the 80th anniversary of Taiwan's restoration to China on October 25.
Spokesperson Zhang Han emphasized the one-China principle, opposed "Taiwan independence" and foreign interference, and pledged to deepen cross-Strait ties, promote integrated development, and share benefits from China's modernization.
The government also showcased high-resolution satellite images of Taiwan and mainland China as evidence of shared territory and invited Taiwan compatriots to visit.
