A Bega Valley dad is crowdfunding $50K by Nov. 16 to launch a community bouldering gym in Kalaru, opening late 2026.
A Bega Valley father is raising $50,000 in 11 days through pre-purchased access passes to launch Gravity House, a community bouldering gym in Kalaru set to open in late 2026.
The project, inspired by his children’s climbing experiences, aims to provide inclusive recreational, physical, and mental wellness opportunities.
So far, $31,300 has been raised, with half the total $600,000 cost already secured.
Funds are needed to prove community support for council approval and future grants.
The gym will be built in stages, starting with bouldering and training areas, followed by a children’s space and rope routes, at a secured warehouse site.
Without reaching the goal by November 16, the project cannot move forward.
