South Africa’s FlySafair cabin crew began a strike on November 4, 2025, over a pay dispute and work schedule demands, following failed negotiations with management.
The South African Cabin Crew Association (SACCA) represents about 65% of the airline’s 800 cabin crew.
FlySafair said over two-thirds of its crew are still working, including non-union members and union members who accepted its latest offer of a 5.7% raise, bonuses, and allowances.
The airline confirmed all flights remain operational, citing contingency plans.
Talks continue, with both sides seeking guidance from the Department of Labour.
This follows a recent 12-day pilot strike.
