Colt expands West London data campus with £2.5B, 160MW renewable-powered centers, 500 jobs, and innovation hub.
Colt Data Centre Services has received approval to expand its Hayes Digital Park campus in West London with a £2.5 billion investment, adding three new hyperscale data centres and an Innovation Hub.
The project, set to begin construction in mid-2026, will boost the site’s IT power capacity to 160MW, with all facilities powered by 100% renewable energy.
The first data centre is expected to launch in early 2029, supported by a high-voltage supply by October 2027.
The development will create over 500 permanent jobs, train more than 50 apprentices, and include a district heating network using waste heat.
The Innovation Hub, partnered with Brunel University, will support digital start-ups and community events.
Backup generators will operate no more than 15 hours annually.
