Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Minsk, expressing strong bilateral ties and optimism for trade reaching $2–3 billion annually.
He noted a 173.6% rise in trade from January to September 2025, with total 2024 trade at $498.1 million.
Lukashenko highlighted India’s role in Belarus’s SCO accession and support for BRICS, while both sides discussed expanding cooperation in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, trucks, and wood products.
India encouraged Belarusian investment via joint ventures, and plans for an intergovernmental commission meeting were confirmed.
