American Critical Minerals hires Dean Pekeski, a potash expert, to advance its Utah lithium and potash project.
American Critical Minerals Corp. has appointed Dean Pekeski as Senior Advisor, leveraging his 33 years of experience in potash exploration and development. Pekeski, formerly Executive Vice President at Western Potash Corp., led the Milestone Potash Project in Saskatchewan, now 80% complete, and has led development of the Sevier Playa SOP Brine Project in Utah since 2016. His expertise includes solution mining, brine processing, permitting, financing, and off-take agreements, with over $120 million in capital raised. His appointment supports the company’s Green River Project in Utah’s Paradox Basin, which holds potential for both potash and lithium, with lithium concentrations up to 500 ppm. The project benefits from existing data, infrastructure, and proximity to production. Pekeski’s role aims to advance drilling, de-risk development, and strengthen U.S. supply chains for critical minerals.
