A 23-year-old man's delayed cancer diagnosis after ignored symptoms led to chemotherapy and a fundraising effort.
A 23-year-old Liverpool man, Kyle Kennedy, was diagnosed with stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma after his persistent neck pain, swelling, and night sweats were initially dismissed as minor issues.
Despite worsening symptoms, including facial swelling, he was advised to take paracetamol and later given antibiotics before a delayed hospital scan revealed a chest tumor that had spread to his bowel and tonsils.
Now undergoing chemotherapy, Kennedy is unable to work, and his family is raising awareness and funds through a GoFundMe campaign and a 52-mile charity run in his honor.
