Two Irish teen sisters to face adult court for allegedly scamming vulnerable men out of €1,203 by pretending to be homeless.
Two teenage sisters, 16 and 18, are facing a higher court trial in Dublin over allegations they exploited two vulnerable adults—one with Down syndrome and another with autism—by pretending to be homeless.
Prosecutors say they lured the men to shops and ATMs, stealing €1,203 in total, with evidence including CCTV footage and testimony describing the interactions as premeditated.
The girls, who cannot be named, remain on bail with strict conditions and are set to appear in court again on December 18.
Their cases were deemed too serious for juvenile court, and they have not yet entered pleas.
