Starting November 3, 2025, pensioners and disabled residents with a TfGM concessionary bus pass in Greater Manchester can ride Bee Network buses for free before 9:30 a.m. on weekdays during a one-month trial, reversing a long-standing restriction.
The change, which also covers non-Bee Network buses and night services in the region, aims to improve access to work, healthcare, and social activities.
The trial builds on a successful August pilot with over 100,000 early morning trips.
Feedback will be collected via survey starting November 7, with data informing a potential permanent change by year-end.
Free travel on weekends and holidays remains unchanged.
