Residents of Shreveport’s Shreve City area can attend a public meeting on Wednesday, November 5, to discuss a proposed hookah lounge, Haifah Hookah Lounge and Café, at the former Gamers XP site.
The business, seeking a special use permit under C-2 zoning, would operate from noon to midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 1 a.m. on weekends, with no alcohol, outdoor seating, or loud music.

City Councilman Jim Taliaferro urged careful review of zoning, health data, and public input.
The meeting follows similar opposition in 2025 that led to the withdrawal of a comparable proposal in Southern Hills.
