Punjab’s CM denied flood compensation claims, while SAD leader accused AAP of deceit, corruption, and press suppression ahead of by-election.

SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal accused AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal of deceit over claims that Punjab’s chief minister paid Rs 50,000 per acre in flood compensation, calling it false despite Punjab receiving Rs 12,000 crore in disaster funds. He said no compensation was given for crop, home, or livestock losses and that certified wheat seeds were not distributed on 500,000 acres. Badal criticized the Centre’s move to change Panjab University’s status as unconstitutional, accused AAP of silence, and alleged press suppression in Tarn Taran, including seizure of newspapers. He also claimed rising crime, extortion, and drug trafficking linked to AAP leaders and criminals, predicting accountability after the November 11 Tarn Taran by-election.
