PSA sues ACC over abrupt three-day office mandate, citing contract breach and damaged trust post-strike.
The Public Service Association (PSA) has filed a legal challenge against ACC over its sudden shift to requiring employees to work in the office three days a week, up from two, without prior union consultation.
The change, communicated with less than an hour’s notice on October 7, 2025, is alleged to breach the collective agreement and undermine previously advertised flexible work benefits.
PSA leaders say the move damages morale and trust, especially after a 1,200-worker strike on October 23.
The union seeks to suspend the rule effective December 1, 2025, and restart negotiations with a fair pay offer.
ACC has not commented on the legal action.
