Dr. Felix Ho, a NT doctor and paramedic, named 2026 Australian of the Year for remote health work and youth program leadership.
Dr. Felix Ho, a 43-year-old NT Health doctor and volunteer paramedic, has been named Northern Territory’s 2026 Australian of the Year for his work in remote communities and leading the national St John Youth Program, which he joined as a cadet at 13 and expanded through missions including a UN assignment in Timor-Leste.
Jenny Duggan, known as the "Rubbish Warrior," received the Senior Australian of the Year honor for decades of environmental advocacy, including cleaning the Katherine River and promoting safer plastic wine bottles.
Jaiden Dickenson, a Warumunga man and youth diversion officer, was named Young Australian of the Year for addressing trauma and preventing youth crime.
Rob Green, a 50-year-old volunteer, earned the Local Hero award for extensive service with St John Ambulance, bushfire response, and emergency rescue.
The four will join national award winners in Canberra on January 25, 2026.
