flag Australia is building a 37-meter offshore support vessel for northern and eastern operations, set for 2026.

Carpentaria Marine Services has commissioned Incat Crowther to design a 37-meter multi-purpose offshore support vessel, with construction underway at Richardson Devine Marine’s Hobart shipyard. Set for operation in 2026, the vessel will support marine construction, diving, surveying, and ROV missions across northern and eastern Australia, including Cape York and the Gulf of Carpentaria. It features twin Cummins QSK50 engines, a robust hull, fuel and water capacities of 68,000 and 24,500 liters, and can reach speeds up to 24 knots. Equipped with a moonpool, large aft deck, twin bow thrusters, and heavy-lift gear, it will accommodate a crew of 28 across three decks. The project follows the 2010 delivery of Strait Shooter 1 and marks a continued Australian-built maritime expansion.
