Ambuja Cements reported a more than fourfold increase in profit after tax to ₹2,302 crore for the second quarter of FY26, driven by a ₹1,697 crore income tax provision reversal and strong operational performance.
Revenue rose 21% to ₹9,174 crore, with cement sales hitting a record 16.6 million tonnes, up 20% year-on-year.
The company raised its FY28 capacity target to 155 million tonnes per annum through cost-efficient debottlenecking, expanded renewable energy capacity to 673 MW, and aims to reduce costs to ₹4,000 per tonne by FY26.
Favorable industry reforms, including GST 2.0 and the removal of coal cess, were cited as key drivers.
The company remains debt-free and expects double-digit revenue growth and four-digit EBITDA per tonne for the remainder of FY26.
