AIMIM’s Owaisi accuses RJD’s Yadav of calling him extremist, denying the claim as racist, ahead of Bihar elections.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi accused RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav of labeling him an "extremist," dismissing the claim as baseless and racially charged, in a heated exchange ahead of Bihar’s November 7-14 assembly elections.
Owaisi, who released an audio clip he said shows Yadav’s remarks, criticized Yadav’s alleged prejudice and emphasized his religious pride as legitimate, not extremist.
The dispute follows failed seat-sharing talks, prompting AIMIM to contest 100 of 243 seats independently.
The party, focused on the Muslim-majority Seemanchal region, aims to strengthen its influence amid a tight multi-cornered race between the NDA and Mahagathbandhan.
