A 23-year-old Israeli man was indicted for spying for Iran, allegedly sharing info on southern Israel sites for money.
Yosef Ein Eli, a 23-year-old from Tiberias, was indicted on November 2, 2025, for spying for Iranian intelligence, allegedly providing information on hotels and tourist areas in southern Israel since late 2024 in exchange for about 10,000 shekels.
Arrested in September following a joint Shin Bet and police investigation, he is accused of carrying out or planning multiple missions, including gathering intelligence on Israel’s National Security Minister, forming a spy network, and filming military bases, though many tasks were not completed.
Prosecutors say he violated laws against aiding a foreign agent.
The case is part of a broader pattern of Iranian-linked espionage efforts uncovered since Israel’s war against Hamas.
