Ukraine received new Patriot systems from Germany, boosting defenses against Russian air attacks.
On November 2, 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kyiv had received additional Patriot air defense systems from Germany, fulfilling prior commitments.
He credited German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and thanked Germany for strengthening Ukraine’s ability to defend against Russian aerial attacks.
The delivery brings Germany’s total contribution to five Patriot systems, with two more pledged by year’s end.
The systems are part of a broader NATO- and EU-backed effort, including the PURL program, to expedite U.S.-made weapons for Ukraine.
Zelensky also confirmed ongoing talks to acquire 25 more Patriot systems from a U.S. manufacturer.
