The project addressed decades of damage from climate and pollution, including cracked plaster, corroded metal, termite-infested timber, and water seepage. Completed last month, the work preserved original Neo-Classical features like the spire, pillars, and façade. The rededication was attended by top Church of South India leaders, followed by a worship service. Officials called the restoration a tribute to colonial-era architecture and a commitment to preserving the city’s heritage.
