Sohail Muhammad Leghari has been appointed Registrar of Pakistan’s Supreme Court, succeeding Muhammad Salim Khan, who resigned citing personal reasons.
Leghari, previously Registrar of the High Court of Sindh and secretary of the Supreme Judicial Council, brings experience in judicial administration and reform.
Fakhar Zaman, a Peshawar High Court judge, has been named Additional Registrar (Administration) on deputation, leveraging expertise from the Federal Judicial Academy.
Other appointments include Abid Rizwan Abid as Secretary Judicial Council and several deputy registrars promoted to additional registrar roles across Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar registries.
The changes aim to strengthen institutional efficiency and support the court’s constitutional duties.
