Sixteen-year-old Huma Abia Kanta from Assam presented her machine learning research on predicting phycocyanin purity at an international AI and ML conference in Azerbaijan on October 30–31, 2025. Her model achieved a mean absolute error of 0.058, significantly better than standard lab deviation. The paper will be published in Scopus-indexed journals. She is among the youngest Indians to present at such a forum, has authored another accepted AI paper on Sanskrit phonology, and co-authored three additional studies under review. She founded 'desicodes,' developing an Assamese-Python transpiler to promote local language coding, and contributed to conservation by digitizing Greater Adjutant Stork motifs for handloom saris with the Hargila Army. She credited her mentors, Dr. Ankur Pan Saikia and Dr. Arup Kr. Mukhopadhyay.
