The visit, facilitated while the late Queen was alive, included a dinner with Andrew, Ferguson, and their daughter Princess Beatrice. The company’s Arizona solar-powered Bitcoin mining project ultimately failed, acquiring only a fraction of planned equipment and mining minimal cryptocurrency. Investors later won a $4.1 million judgment, though the founder seeks appeal. The revelations contributed to Buckingham Palace’s November 2025 decision to strip Andrew of his royal titles and Windsor residence amid ongoing scrutiny over his use of royal connections for financial gain. Ferguson and Andrew have not commented.
