Lakeland Wildlife Oasis introduced Northern Lynx and Scottish Wildcats for Halloween and breeding, replacing the late Snow Leopard.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis in Cumbria has introduced a father-son pair of Northern Lynx, Switch and Neon, from Highland Wildlife Park, as part of its Halloween events.
The lynx now occupy the former Snow Leopard enclosure after the death of Europe’s oldest Snow Leopard, Pav.
The zoo also welcomed two Scottish wildcats, Hamish and Heather, for a breeding program, with plans to introduce them in spring.
All animals are adjusting well and participating in Halloween-themed enrichment activities.
The zoo aims to bring in a new Snow Leopard breeding pair by next year.
