Kandla Port set a record with over 60,000 TEUs in October 2025 and signed deals for a green fuel hub to support India’s decarbonization goals.
The Kandla International Container Terminal in India set a new record with 60,708 TEUs in October 2025, the first time it surpassed 60,000 in a month.
The Deendayal Port Authority credited its team for the milestone.
Concurrently, the port signed MoUs worth ₹1.8 lakh crore to develop a green fuels ecosystem for hydrogen, methanol, and ammonia, with plans to build a bunkering facility for ships on the Rotterdam-Singapore route.
These efforts support India’s decarbonization goals and aim to position Kandla as a global green fuel hub by 2030.
