Indonesia’s state lender funds Rp2.83T for Bali roads to boost tourism and cut congestion.
PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), an Indonesian state-owned finance institution, has committed Rp2.83 trillion in funding to Badung Regency in Bali to improve tourism route connectivity through road infrastructure development.
The agreement, signed on October 30, 2025, supports the construction of nine road sections totaling 11.8 kilometers in North and South Kuta, key tourism areas.
The project is part of Badung’s 2025–2029 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan, aiming to boost tourism, reduce travel time, lower transportation costs, increase tax revenues, create jobs, and ease congestion.
The financing enables immediate project start-up and provides fiscal flexibility for other priorities.
As of August 2025, PT SMI had disbursed Rp36.16 trillion in regional financing across Indonesia.
