The Himachal Pradesh government has allocated Rs 213.75 crore to upgrade diagnostic facilities in state health institutions, including installing MRI machines, CT scanners, digital X-ray units, and ultrasound equipment across seven medical colleges and major hospitals.
The initiative, led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, aims to improve early disease detection, reduce patient travel outside the state, and enhance healthcare access.
It also includes filling vacant medical and technical positions and implementing staff training programs to strengthen service delivery.
